Fight Robocall Harassment

Speak with our San Fernando Valley Creditor Abuse Attorneys

We at Price Law Group understand the annoyance of telemarketers, especially when they call our personal cell phones during dinner time or as we are trying to go to bed. However, you may not realize that many of the practices that telemarketers and debt collectors use is in direct violation of your legal rights. Robocalling in particular, is one of the practices that telemarketers and debt collectors have been using in recent years as a way to ensure "maximum contact" with a live person, who could be YOU!

How to Identify Robocalling

Robocalling is heavily regulated by the Telephone Consumers Protection Act (TCPA), which Congress passed in 1991 to restrict solicitation by phone. The consumer must agree to receive the communications by providing permission in writing; otherwise, the telemarketers will have committed an illegal act, which you can take action against.

The following acts are considered illegal under TCPA:

  • Robocallers must maintain a list of customers who are registered under the do-not-call list
  • Robocallers may not violate the regulations of the National Do Not Call Registry
  • Robocallers cannot call before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 pm
  • Robocallers may not call using automated recordings or artificial voices

There are many other acts that are considered in violation of the TCPA. The moment you have been contacted, talk to our San Fernando Valley creditor abuse attorneys right away, BEFORE you speak to the creditor or telemarketer. All it takes is one phone call to violate the law. When you contact Price Law Group, we can discuss every aspect of the law so you know what your legal rights are.

File for Restitution—Contact Us!

For example, for each call that is in violation of TCPA, you may be entitled to as much as $1, 500. You can bring the collection agency employing the robocalls to court to protect your rights and gain any restitution for the damages they have caused. Abusive creditor practices are now commonplace, but you should never be subjected to this.

Our attorneys have assisted more than 100, 000 people fight for financial freedom and overcome creditor abuse. We are here to stop them once and for all.
